Emergency patients are not addressed in order of arrival. Rather, we triage patients, assessing their condition and tending to those who need the most serious care first. Pets with non-life-threatening conditions may be seen after those who need immediate medical attention. You may also see clients arriving for scheduled appointments with our specialty services, including but not limited to Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Surgery.

Much like what you’ve seen at a human emergency room! Our ER is the bustling hub of our hospital. Open 24×7, this is where hospitalized patients stay, and incoming patients are triaged. Not only are we examining and treating your pet, but the pets of many others. Examinations, treatments, CPR, ventilator support, anesthetic procedures, trauma care, wound closure, blood transfusions, diagnostics, medication administration, and more are taking place round the clock – in addition to our patients getting some much-needed rest.

We strive to provide a safe, low-stress environment for our patients. As such, we commonly perform exams in our treatment areas, which are specially set up with all of the tools our medical team needs to evaluate and treat your pet. We also have trauma and ICU patients, hospitalized patients, and some that may be under anesthesia for certain procedures. We are unable to accommodate the families of every patient in these areas and it isn’t safe for people who are not staff members to be present

Unfortunately for legal and practical reasons, without an examination, we cannot provide specific medical advice for your pet over the telephone.

Like human medicine, veterinary care takes a personalized approach with each patient and wait times will vary. With each patient comes many variables – our doctors need to perform an exam, review available medical records, perform diagnostics, and more. This goes for every patient and the dozens of doctors working at any given time.

ER visit costs are comprised of the initial exam fee, plus any further diagnostics, treatments, food, or medications that may be required. Your client care team will explain the details and provide you with a written estimate for your approval.

Because we understand how important the human-animal bond is during the healing process 30-minute scheduled visits are available from 10:00am-10:00pm. This allows us to ensure your pet is getting the care and rest they need before and after they visit with you. Please arrange a visit by calling the hospital.
