The Privacy Policy of ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals – Pasadena (hereinafter referred to as ACCESS – Pasadena) and its subsidiaries has been developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the finest quality veterinary services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our customers. This Policy guides how we collect, store and use information about customers and prospects, and it will be periodically assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customers’ changing needs.

ACCESS – Pasadena may, from time to time, modify this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technological and other developments. In that event, the changes will appear at this location.

Our Policy recognizes that Personally-Identifiable Information includes, for example, e-mail addresses, billing information, employment status and “click stream” data that tracks user activity on a web site or online service.

ACCESS – Pasadena is committed to using all reasonable efforts to abide by its Privacy Policy, as stated below:

First, and foremost, we do not sell or provide your information to entities outside ACCESS Specialty – Pasadena (see “external distribution” below.) Personally-Identifiable Information will only be collected to the extent that ACCESS – Pasadena deems reasonably necessary to serve a legitimate business purpose.

When you send us Personally-Identifiable Information, (i.e. in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment), or by filling out a form that e-mails us this information, we use this information to respond to your request or inquiry for our services, programs, products and offerings, and to offer you other services, programs or products that we believe may be of interest to you. ACCESS – Pasadena may on occasion combine information we receive online with outside records to enhance our ability to market to you those products or services that may be of interest to you.

We may also forward your e-mail to other ACCESS – Pasadena employees, who are best able to answer your questions. We sometimes use this information to communicate with you, such as to notify you when new resources are available, when we make changes to online or print products and services, and/or to fulfill a request by you for an online newsletter.

If your browser accepts cookies, we may use a cookie to determine if you are a repeat or new visitor, or to understand how many different visitors come to, and use, our site. We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site and to enable us to personalize your Internet experience. We also may use this information in aggregate form to analyze site usage, as well as to offer you services, programs, or products.

Please be aware that if you disclose Personally-Identifiable Information on Web site message boards or chat areas, that information may be collected and used by third parties unrelated to ACCESS – Pasadena without our knowledge, such as through spyware or adware, and may result in unsolicited communications from third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of ACCESS – Pasadena.

The non-ACCESS-Pasadena sites may also have their own privacy policies and practices. While ACCESS – Pasadena will employ commercially appropriate procedures to help ensure that your information is only used for authorized purposes as described above, ACCESS- Pasadena cannot make any guarantees with respect to the actions or policies of such third parties.

External Distribution
ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals does not share any information we receive with any outside parties, except for the following: 1) When required by law, in connection with legal proceedings and investigations of crimes or other wrongdoing, and 2) For Onward Transfers.

Onward Transfer
Sharing Personally-Identifiable Information with an entity working on behalf of ACCESS – Pasadena or transferring Personally-Identifiable Information in conjunction with the sale or similar transfer of a business unit is considered an Onward Transfer.

Whenever ACCESS – Pasadena permits a third-party to access Personally-Identifiable Information through Onward Transfer, commercially appropriate procedures will be followed to help ensure that the information is used only for authorized purposes and by authorized persons in a manner consistent with the choices customers and prospects have made under this Policy, and that the security, integrity and privacy of the information is maintained.

Cookies
What is a “Cookie”? A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser, along with a Web page, when you access a Web site. There are two kinds of cookies: a “session” cookie and a “persistent” cookie. A session cookie is a line of text that is stored temporarily in your computer’s RAM. Because a session cookie is never written to a drive, it is destroyed as soon as you close your browser. A persistent cookie is a more permanent line of text that gets saved by your browser to a file on your hard drive. Depending on your browser settings, you may receive notification that a given site is requesting cookie information, possibly with an expiration date. Persistent cookies have an expiration date in the future. Session cookies have no date associated with them.

User-Content
The term “User Content” – also considered a “Posting” – means and refers to any and all content, media and materials you submit for posting on this website, including comments, testimonials, stories, and photos, to name a few. By submitting user-generated content, you acknowledge that content as being owned by you and grant ACCESS – Pasadena permission to publish, with no restrictions, that information, as we see fit. We will never knowingly use such submissions in any way that is intended to damage or harm the submitter. By submitting user-generated content, you also consent (opt-in) to having your email address added to our ACCESS – Pasadena email list, with the understanding that you may opt-out at any time.
