Dr. Anna Tauro

Dr. Anna Tauro, DVM, GPCert(Neuro), Dip ECVN FRCVS, EBVS®
Dr. Tauro, a board-certified specialist in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery, brings a wealth of global experience to our team. From complex spinal disorders to advanced neurosurgical care, she offers a unique, collaborative, and compassionate approach to treating neurological conditions in pets.
Originally from Italy, Dr. Tauro completed her veterinary degree before continuing her training in the United Kingdom under the mentorship of world-renowned neurologist Professor Clare Rusbridge at Fitzpatrick Referrals.
She later earned her Diplomate status with the European College of Veterinary Neurology and was honored with Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (FRCVS) for her outstanding contributions to clinical practice.
Her career spans academic and clinical roles across the UK, Australia, and the U.S., most recently serving as a faculty member at North Carolina State University. Her special interests include spinal surgery, neuroimaging, and collaborative, multidisciplinary care.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking, traveling, and exploring local restaurants. She recently relocated to California with her husband and their beloved cat, Rigatoni.
