Our thoughts are with everyone…

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles. During this incredibly difficult time, we wish you strength, resilience, and hope. To the firefighters and first responders who selflessly risk everything to protect our communities, we are profoundly grateful. Your courage and dedication inspire us all – thank you for being the heroes we need.
ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital – Pasadena will remain open to provide essential services unless otherwise directed by authorities. Our commitment to supporting our staff, clients, and patients remains unwavering.
To further support our community, we have offered the expertise of our doctors and veterinary technicians to the Pasadena Humane Society should they need assistance with pets injured in the fires. Additionally, we are providing free medical exams for the working fire dogs of local fire departments during this critical time, recognizing the vital role these incredible animals play in helping us humans.
Dr. Kathryn Gates, our Chief Medical Officer, has been working closely with the California Veterinary Emergency Team (CVET) and has arranged for our doctors and staff to be on standby should help be required. (To learn more about this extraordinary team, which is dedicated to helping organizations and individuals respond to the needs of domestic animals and livestock during emergencies, please visit www.cvet.vetmed.ucdavis.edu.)
Finally, our Veterinary Relations Manager, Dawn Agaiby, has been on the ground visiting local animal hospitals impacted by the fires, providing aid wherever she can. Her efforts include offering free access to our certified compassion fatigue specialist and grief counselor for members of our local referring veterinary community who may need support during this time.
Rest assured, we are here for you and your pets during these challenging events.
Good thoughts to all impacted by these fires.
