Tricia Tai, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) is a proud Southern California native whose passion for animals and science has shaped an impressive career in veterinary neurology.

After earning her undergraduate degree from UCLA, she graduated with honors from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. From there, she completed an internship at California Animal Hospital before heading to central Florida to pursue a rigorous Neurology/Neurosurgery residency at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, after which she achieved her ACVIM board certification.

Since returning home to Los Angeles in 2014, Dr. Tai has been dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide variety of neurological conditions, embracing the complexity and challenge each case brings. Known for her thorough approach and compassionate care, she finds joy in building meaningful connections with her patients and their families.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Tai is an avid traveler, steadily working her way through a bucket list of destinations around the globe. She’s always on the lookout for new hobbies, has an eclectic taste in music, and loves attending live concerts whenever she can. At home, she’s a proud human and part-time “momager” to Trudy, a 4-pound, sassy Pomeranian who’s the real boss of the household.

Dr. Tai joined ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital located in Pasadena, CA, in September 2025, bringing with her not just extensive expertise, but a kind, collaborative spirit that makes every pet – and their people – feel genuinely cared for.
