Dr. Allison Rowland

Allison Rowland, DVM, (practice limited to Internal Medicine)

Dr. Allison Rowland hails from Long Island, New York, but has spent most of her adult life as an “academic nomad” across the country before finally settling in Southern California. She earned her undergraduate degree at UMASS Amherst, a master’s in biology from North Carolina State University, and her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.

Following a rotating small animal internship in California, Dr. Rowland returned to North Carolina State University for a combined residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology.

In 2022, Dr. Rowland returned to California as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine before joining the team of Internal Medicine specialists at ACCESS Pasadena.

She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, with particular interests in immune-mediated diseases, infectious diseases, endocrine disorders, and interventional treatments.

In her downtime, Dr. Rowland enjoys hiking, live entertainment, or reading at home with her two dogs, Simon and Ripley, and her two tortoises, Echo and Bunnyman.
